In teaching, I try to share my enthusiasm for visual communication design and problem solving. I strive to create an environment in which students will embrace learning as a lifelong process. It is my hope that students will carry a passion for design and learning with them long after they graduate. Today, continued learning is especially important because technology and new media present a unique challenge to designers and are transforming the role of the visual communicator. Since I have worked as a designer for over 20 years, I often share my experiences with students to help prepare them for the wide range of responsibilities they will face as design professionals.
