Doug Goldsmith has been a professional illustrator and painter since 1981. He received his BFA degree from The Cleveland Institute of Art in 1981 and his MFA from Carnegie Mellon University in 1988. Some of his clients include the National Geographic Society, US Gypsum Corporation, Cleveland Magazine, East Ohio Gas Company, TRW and Duck Brand Duck Tape. Currently Doug is working for Smart Bomb Interactive (Salt Lake City, Utah) creating visual concepts for the Snoopy vs. Red Barron digital game produced by Namco to be released in 2006.
He has exhibited his paintings throughout Ohio including the Butler Institute of American Art. He also exhibits in Maine and Long Island New York. Doug has been teaching for Kent State University since 1988. He teaches both Color Theory and Illustration. He recieved the Outstanding Teaching Award in 1996, has been nominated for Who’s Who amoung university college professors and has received two Graduate Applause awards. He currently lives in Kent, Ohio.
